Scope and Contents

From S. Silsbee at Calais. He expects his mother to attend the wedding even though he hasn't had a return letter from her. Expects the ceremony will take place on the 26th (Sunday) of December. One of the boarders - Wheeler Shan - wishes to live on the Graham System and to attend Oberlin in the spring. He continues his letter on the 17th. Anticipating that he will hear from his mother. He did - and she expects to come to the wedding. Received a letter from Mary and her parents are in favor of the marriage.
